Be Present is a Gospel venture of North Creek Church for the advancement of the relief and restoration to the needy. Through community service projects and our collective resources we seek to be present in our neighborhoods and in the nations.
As WE FOLLOW JESUS, we are compelled by His love for people who are nothing like Him – the broken, poor and the lost. We fit neatly into those categories.
We realize that programs do not bring about change, people do. Our hope is for you to be present by acting locally and thinking globally.
HERE ARE THE VALUES THAT GUIDE OUR EFFORTS:
Recognize the difference between restoration and relief
We first must know the difference. Then seek to help not hinder.
- Relief is emergency aid or temporary provision to alleviate immediate suffering from natural or man-made tragedy or injustice
- Restoration is our direct application of the gospel for on-going spiritual and physical renewal in distressed or unreached communities and cultures
We partner with other organizations
To accomplish the mission of being present, we recognize the need to work with strategic partners. In many ways, these organizations have pioneered efficient and effective ways of providing relief and/or restoration. Together we are able to multiply our efforts towards a shared mission.
We are all broken
Whether it’s financial, physical or spiritual we are all in need of restoration. It’s out of our mutual brokenness that we seek to restore others and be restored ourselves.
In our commitment to be present in our neighborhoods and in the nations, we have chosen to focus on three major need areas and enlist strategic partners to expand and multiply our work.
We are for Children
Ensuring hope and education for the next generation by investing in their present circumstances to enable a better future
Everyone should have a new beginning
As the church we know the importance of beginnings. Whether natural or man-made tragedy, we seek to provide opportunities for all people to have a fresh start in life.
Catalyst for freedom
We will be an instrument of freedom for the oppressed and justice for the marginalized in our neighborhoods and the nations.
